I hate fruit flies

This blog will resolutely defy all attempts to restrict itself to particular topics. All thought is our domain --gosh, I should have used that AS THE TITLE!!! I wonder if I can change it? Actually, there is a restriction, namely that I will probably be uninterested in a large proportion of thought out there. So let's establish that this is not a serious blog all the time.

I have to say that some of my friends are Republicans. Most of them probably became that way as a response to the worst excesses of the Democrats of the sixties and seventies; I can't imagine my friends subscribing to the opinion that the affluent deserve all that they have, and that the indigent deserve to be indigent.

The greed of the worst elements in the mortgage industry has the business world deeply embarrassed. Big time investors tend to run their financial affairs pretty much on autopilot, except for panic selling, of course. You can just see Mr Plutocrat ripping the keys to the Beemer out of the hands of junior, and saying "Now look what you have done! Did I tell you to invest in sub-prime mortgages?" As I have said before, the Republicans need a scapegoat for the disasters that loom over us for the next four years, and, oh look! Here are some Democrats who are begging to take the fall! Oh Joy!

 I figure, the Democrats have it made this election. I do hate fruit flies, though.
